The November report is the continued discussion of the 2011 appeal process with a summary of the complaints that have been filed on 2011 assessments, and a listing of parcels filed with complaints seeking $100,000 or more reduction in assessed value. The 2010 annual report posted on our web site it contains many of the monthly reports in context of how we go about completing our assessment roll each year. Go to http://www.WeValueBloomington.org, and click on the Annual Report link on the left-hand panel of tabs.
2010 tax bills payable in 2011 have been delivered with first installments due June 1, and second installment due September 1.
Included in the attached monthly report are updates regarding tax rates, levies, and equalization assessed valuation since the Annual Meeting held on April 12th. The information pertains to how the work of the assessor and the budgets of the taxing authorities convert into the tax bill.
I’ve also supplied some additional charts and graphs based on Trustee questions. These include analysis of the impact Unit 5 schools have on City of Bloomington property owners. Also on the last pages (11 and 12) is the comparison of taxes for similar services comparing Bloomington and Normal tax rates.
